If your door will be used on a new-build home or conversion (turning a barn/office building/ previous shop) into a dwelling, then you will need to have Part Q Compliant doors.
You do not legally need Part Q Compliant doors if you are replacing a door in a current home, or building an extension as part of an existing dwelling.
For more information, take a look at our Document Q Breakdown.
Pre-assembled doors arrive factory-built with the door panels already glazed and hung within the frame, making installation quicker and more straightforward.
Flat-packed doors are supplied in kit form and require assembly on site, including building the frame, hanging the door panels and fitting the hardware. They are an ideal choice where access is restricted or where the doors need to be stored before installation.
Yes, our aluminium products can be supplied in custom sizes, colours and configurations. For more information, please see our bespoke products page.
No. All glazing is supplied loose for ease of installation and then installed as a final step.
Yes, all of our external bifold doors include a daily access door as standard. This allows you to use one of the door panels like a traditional single-hinged door, making everyday access quick and convenient.
Whether you’re letting the dog out, taking out the bins, or simply stepping into the garden, you can open the access door without needing to unlock and fold back the entire bifold system.
Our external French doors, bi-fold doors and sliding doors are supplied with everything you need, including the necessary hardware such as handles, hinges and security locking systems. For single external front and back doors, the hardware included varies depending on the product. Please check the individual product information for details.
All of our external door sets are fully compliant with Part L 2022 of British building regulations, meaning they offer excellent thermal insulation and energy efficiency.
Yes, all our external door sets feature high-security hardware and a multi-point locking system as standard, alongside toughened Low E double glazed units, which provide added strength and safety.
Installing an exterior door can be a straightforward project for experienced DIYers, but larger doors such as French doors, sliding doors and bi-fold doors are heavy and typically require more than one person to fit safely. Before ordering, it's important to accurately measure your opening to ensure you choose the correct size. All Aspire Doors products are supplied with fitting instructions, although many customers choose to use a professional installer to ensure the best fit, performance and security.
